Pre-trip planning

Our countdown to departure begins today.  We leave in ten days.

Our Thanksgiving and Thanukah celebrations are over and the house is restored to its pre-holiday order.  We have a  to-do list to get us out the door and a whole bunch of social activities to enjoy before we leave.  Our refrigerator and pantry are now officially in "inventory reduction" mode.

We've made some progress on getting ready for the trip.  Most of our clothes are selected, we've figured out which adapters and transformers and chargers to take.  I've downloaded some books to my tablet.  We've received a list of our fellow travelers from the tour company.

There's civil unrest in Bangkok, but Bruce has us registered with the American embassy and it appears from the Wall Street Journal that the target of the protests is limited to government buildings.  The protesters want to get rid of the current prime minister, they are not interested in tourists.

I'm excited.

Here is a photo of our Thanksgivukah centerpiece - just to see if I can upload a photo.
